Last updated: July 2026

Design a made-to-measure PTFE conveyor or heat-sealing belt and send the exact specification to GORTEF for a quote. Choose your coated fabric, thickness, dimensions, join type and tracking guides, and watch the belt build up live in a draggable 3D preview as you go. When you are happy, add your contact details and submit — we manufacture custom belts in PTFE-coated glass fabric and Kevlar to your drawing.

Custom PTFE & Kevlar Belts, Made to Your Specification

GORTEF manufactures custom conveyor and heat-sealing belts from PTFE-coated glass fabric and PTFE-coated Kevlar, including anti-static grades. Belts can be supplied endless — joined with overlap or finger joints — or open ended with a bullnose finish, and fitted with side or centre tracking guides using either continuous cords or moulded buttons.

Which material should I choose?

  • PTFE-coated glass fabric (brown) — the general-purpose choice for release and heat-sealing, in 3, 5, 10 and 17 thou.
  • PTFE-coated Kevlar (black) — higher tensile strength and abrasion resistance, in 10, 17 and 24 thou.
  • Anti-static PTFE-coated Kevlar (black) — the same Kevlar strengths plus static dissipation for electronics and dry-powder lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. GORTEF manufactures made-to-measure PTFE and Kevlar belts to your exact width and length. Use the configurator to select the material, thickness, dimensions, join type and tracking guides, then submit the specification for a quote and lead time.

Custom belts are available in PTFE-coated glass fabric (brown), PTFE-coated Kevlar (black) and anti-static PTFE-coated Kevlar. Glass fabric comes in 3, 5, 10 and 17 thou; Kevlar and anti-static Kevlar come in 10, 17 and 24 thou. Other materials and thicknesses can be quoted on request.

An endless belt is joined into a continuous loop using an overlap joint or a finger joint. An open-ended belt is supplied as a length with a finished end such as a bullnose, and is joined on your machine.

Belts can be fitted with side tracking (on both sides, the left, or the right) or middle tracking. Guides can be continuous cords or moulded buttons. For cords, specify the cord type, the distance from the centre of the cord to the belt edge, and the cord width and height. For buttons, specify the distance to the edge, the diameter, the thickness and either the pitch or the number of buttons.
