Continuous Cooking and Contact Grilling

PTFE coated solid woven glass belting is widely used in food manufacturing due to its non-stick properties. It is ideal for cooking foods that tend to stick to hot cooking platens. However, the production of oil and fat during the cooking cycle has historically created challenges, as traditional PTFE glass fabrics are prone to developing micro-cracks. Over time, fat can penetrate through these cracks in the PTFE coating and be absorbed by the glass yarns.

When the belt is reused, the absorbed fat reheats and begins to carbonise, leading to product sticking and rejection. To address this challenge, we offer the GRILL PREMIUM RB30 and GRILL STANDARD TCG010R with crack-free technology for superior performance.

Our PTFE coated belts are extensively used in the production of tortillas, naan bread, and pizza crusts. The TORTILLA 238 belt efficiently transforms dough balls into flat discs while providing optimal heat transfer for cooking.

Contact Grilling Machines

Contact grilling machines utilise our GRILL PREMIUM RB30 or GRILL STANDARD TCG010R belts to transport food products over heated platens in a continuous cooking process. These belts handle a diverse range of products including meatballs, pancakes, fish, eggs, bacon, and burgers - all requiring belts that can withstand aggressive cooking environments.

For these demanding applications, we use high PTFE content belts to ensure excellent release properties. Our red PTFE fabric High Performance Series is engineered to maximise belt life while minimizing downtime. These belts feature PTFE-coated woven fiberglass substrates, providing an exceptionally smooth, non-stick surface with superior resistance to oils, grease, and chemicals.

Our specialised coating formulation prevents oils and grease from penetrating the belt fabric. GORTEF products excel in challenging environments, particularly in food processing applications with high levels of grease and oils, or when handling sticky materials. Our belts consistently outperform and outlast standard competitive products.

Our laminated products feature multi-layer PTFE cast film on both sides of the PTFE/glass fabric, ensuring uniform thickness and a crack-free, pinhole-free surface.
