Self-adhesive Teflon sheets (AD) are PTFE-coated glass fabric with a high-temperature silicone adhesive backing and a yellow release liner, supplied at a full 1000 mm width and cut to any length from 1 to 30 metres. You peel the liner and stick the sheet straight onto a clean surface, giving a permanent non-stick, heat-resistant face rated for continuous use from -73°C to +260°C.
They are the right choice when the release surface has to stay put — press platens, sealing jaws, drying cylinders, chutes and bonding tools. If the sheet needs to be lifted, reversed or reused, order the non-adhesive (NA) version instead.

What Is a Self-Adhesive Teflon Sheet?
A self-adhesive Teflon sheet is a woven glass fabric coated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) on the working face and a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive on the back. The PTFE face gives an exceptionally non-stick, low-friction surface that is chemically inert and holds up to +260°C; the glass fabric core gives the sheet tear strength and dimensional stability while staying thin enough to conform to a platen or a curved drum.
The silicone adhesive is rated to the same -73°C to +260°C range as the fabric, so the sheet does not creep or let go at sealing temperature. A yellow textured PVC release liner protects the adhesive until you apply it. For background on the material itself, see What Is PTFE?
What Sizes and Thicknesses Are Available?
Every self-adhesive sheet is 1000 mm wide — the full width of the coated fabric — and cut to any length from 1 to 30 metres in 1-metre increments, supplied as one continuous piece. Three thicknesses are available, matching our standard tape range:

What Are Self-Adhesive PTFE Sheets Used For?
Anywhere a large area needs a permanent non-stick face that will not shift in service:
- Covering press and platen surfaces on fusion presses and heat presses
- Facing sealing jaws and bars on packaging machinery too wide for a slit tape
- Lining drying cylinders, chutes, dead plates and guide surfaces
- Release surfaces on bonding tools and laminating equipment
- Non-stick bench liners for sealing and bonding operations
How Do You Apply a Self-Adhesive Teflon Sheet?
- Strip the old sheet or tape and clean off every trace of residue.
- Wipe the bare surface with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry — silicone adhesive will not key to oil or release agent.
- Peel back 50–100 mm of the yellow liner, align one edge, and press it down.
- Work along the sheet peeling the liner progressively, pressing as you go, so no air is trapped underneath.
- Trim to the edge of the platen with a sharp blade and press the perimeter down firmly.

The silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive is rated for continuous use from -73°C to +260°C, the same range as the PTFE/glass fabric itself. The sheet keeps full adhesion and non-stick performance across all standard heat sealing and pressing temperatures.
Clean the surface back to bare metal and wipe it with isopropyl alcohol, then peel back only 50–100mm of the release liner, align one edge and press it down. Work along the sheet peeling the liner progressively and pressing as you go, rather than removing the whole liner first — that is what traps air underneath.
3 thou is the thinnest and most flexible, for maximum heat transfer and close conformity to curved tooling. 5 thou is the general-purpose choice for platen and jaw covering. 10 thou is the heaviest duty, for high-wear release surfaces. All three carry the same +260°C rating.
No. The silicone adhesive forms a permanent bond, so an AD sheet is a single application — lifting it distorts the fabric and contaminates the adhesive. If you need a sheet you can lift, reposition and reuse, order the non-adhesive (NA) version instead.
