Non-Adhesive Teflon Sheets (NA)

Bare PTFE-coated glass fabric, no backing - 1000mm wide, cut to any length from 1 to 30 metres, reusable

Last updated: August 2026

Non-adhesive Teflon sheets (NA) are PTFE-coated glass fabric with no backing — a bare, double-sided non-stick sheet supplied at a full 1000 mm width and cut to any length from 1 to 30 metres. Because nothing sticks them down, they are laid loose, clamped or mechanically fixed, and can be lifted, turned over and reused. They are rated for continuous use from -73°C to +260°C.

They are the right choice for reusable release and separator sheets, press covers, oven and conveyor liners, and any non-stick surface you need to take away again. If the sheet has to stay permanently fixed to a platen or jaw, order the self-adhesive (AD) version instead.

Need it narrower than 1000 mm? Sheets are always supplied at the full fabric width, but they cut cleanly with a sharp blade or scissors, so most buyers order one length and cut several pieces from it.

What Is a Non-Adhesive Teflon Sheet?

A non-adhesive Teflon sheet is a woven glass fabric coated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and supplied with no adhesive on either face. The PTFE coating gives a non-stick, low-friction surface that is chemically inert and holds up to +260°C; the glass fabric core carries the tear strength, so a thin sheet still survives being lifted, folded and refitted day after day.

Both faces are non-stick, so an NA sheet works as a true separator: film, dough, adhesive or resin releases from either side. That is what makes it reusable in a way an adhesive-backed sheet is not. For background on the material itself, see What Is PTFE?

What Sizes and Thicknesses Are Available?

Every non-adhesive sheet is 1000 mm wide — the full width of the coated fabric — and cut to any length from 1 to 30 metres in 1-metre increments, supplied as one continuous piece. Three thicknesses are available:

CodeThicknessWeightBest for
TCG003NA-1000W3 thou (0.075 mm)135 g/m²Heat press cover sheets, thin separators, maximum heat transfer
TCG005NA-1000W5 thou (0.115 mm)235 g/m²General-purpose release and separator sheets, daily handling
TCG010NA-1000W10 thou (0.22 mm)455 g/m²Oven and conveyor liners, heavy repeated handling

What Are Non-Adhesive PTFE Sheets Used For?

  • Reusable cover sheets for heat presses — see Teflon Sheet for Heat Presses
  • Separator and release sheets for laminating and fusing
  • Platen protection on fusion presses, where the sheet is swapped rather than stuck down
  • Oven and baking liners in food production
  • Composite layup and release film in moulding and bonding
  • Non-stick work surfaces and bench liners that get moved between jobs

How Long Does a Non-Adhesive PTFE Sheet Last?

Far longer than a disposable liner. Unlike a one-use square of parchment, a PTFE sheet takes months of daily pressing before it needs replacing. Wipe it down with a soft cloth once it has cooled, store it flat or loosely rolled rather than creased, and replace it when the PTFE face starts to scuff through to the glass weave or the sheet stops releasing cleanly.

Sharp creases are the usual cause of early failure: a hard fold cracks the PTFE coating along the line and the fabric picks up material there first.

How to Order Non-Adhesive Teflon Sheets

GORTEF supplies PTFE sheets to businesses across Australia and New Zealand. Tell us the thickness (3, 5 or 10 thou) and the length you need between 1 and 30 metres, and we cut and ship from our Melbourne warehouse. for pricing or a sample.

Can't find Teflon sheet at Bunnings, Spotlight or Kmart? Wide-format industrial PTFE coated glass fabric isn't a retail line — hardware and craft stores carry consumer items like plumber's thread tape or small non-stick craft and BBQ mats, not the +260°C-rated material used on presses and production equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

A non-adhesive Teflon sheet is PTFE-coated glass fabric supplied with no adhesive on either face. Both sides are non-stick, so it works as a true separator and can be lifted, turned over and reused. It is laid loose, clamped or mechanically fixed rather than stuck down, and is rated from -73°C to +260°C. GORTEF supplies it 1000mm wide, cut to any length from 1 to 30 metres.

Choose non-adhesive (NA) when the sheet is laid loose, clamped or mechanically fixed and needs to be lifted and reused — separator sheets, heat press covers, oven and conveyor liners. Choose self-adhesive (AD) when the sheet must stay permanently fixed to a platen, sealing jaw, drying cylinder or bonding tool. Both use the identical PTFE/glass fabric.

Months of daily use, rather than the single use you get from parchment or baking paper. Replace it when the PTFE face scuffs through to the glass weave or the sheet stops releasing cleanly. Avoid sharp creases — a hard fold cracks the PTFE coating along the line, and the fabric starts picking up material there first.

Yes. PTFE coated glass fabric cuts cleanly with a sharp blade or a good pair of scissors, and the cut edge does not fray badly. Most buyers order one length at the full 1000mm width and cut several press-size or bench-size pieces from it.

Yes. PTFE is approved for food contact and is chemically inert, which is why non-adhesive sheets are widely used as release and separator surfaces in baking, laminating and food production. For lines running inline metal detection, consider metal detectable tape on the sealing surfaces as well.

3 thou is thinnest and most flexible — the easiest to handle as a heat press cover sheet and best for heat transfer. 5 thou is the general-purpose choice, adding durability for daily handling. 10 thou is the heaviest duty, for oven and conveyor liners that get moved constantly. All three carry the same +260°C rating.
