The Boxer 42XL has a 420 mm seal bar and is one of the most common chamber machines on an Australian bench, sold here through several vacuum specialists. Its seal bars lift out for cleaning, which also makes it one of the easier machines to re-tape properly.

Seal bar cover tape on a chamber machine sits directly over the heating element, so thickness matters more than it looks: a thicker tape insulates the element and gives a weak, milky seal. TCG003AD at 3 thou is the usual choice, with TCG005AD at 5 thou where the bar gets rough handling on a busy bench.
